Everglades National Park
This site at the southern tip of Florida has been called 'a river of grass flowing imperceptibly from the hinterland into the sea'. The exceptional variety of its water habitats has made it a sanctuary for a large number of birds and reptiles, as well as for threatened species such as the manatee.

sonnet

Or from what power has this mighty force, With insufficiency my heart to sway, To deny me to my true vision, And I swear that shine work does not grace the day? Where are you turning from evil things, That in the same waste of your facts, There is such strength and warrantise of skill, That in my mind your worst of all exceeds better? Who taught you how to do with me I love you more, The more you listen and see the cause of hatred? Or although I love what others hate, With others, you should not abominate my state. If your unworthiness raised love in me, More worthy to be loved by you.
